Sherwin-Williams 2025 Color Capsule

Big Change: Sherwin-Williams Drops One Color for a Full Color Capsule in 2025

Every year, we usually see Sherwin-Williams pick one single Color of the Year — a big announcement that sets the tone for design trends. But this year, they’re switching things up. For 2025, instead of picking just one color, they’ve introduced a Color Capsule — a whole collection of nine beautiful shades that all work together.

Honestly, at LoCOl Paint, we think it’s a pretty awesome move. Everyone’s style is a little different, and it makes way more sense to give people options instead of just trying to fit everyone into one trendy color. Plus, with this new capsule, it’s easy to mix, match, and create spaces that actually feel like you.

The 2025 Color Capsule Shades

Clove

A deep, rich chocolate brown that feels super cozy and dramatic. It would look amazing on an accent wall in a living room, around a fireplace, or even on kitchen cabinets if you’re into that dark, moody vibe. You could also use it on exterior trim to really make your house pop.

Grounded

Exactly what it sounds like — a soft, warm café au lait color that’s easy on the eyes. It’s perfect for living rooms, bedrooms, or anywhere you want a relaxed, welcoming feel. On the outside of a house, it blends beautifully into Colorado’s natural colors.

Malabar

A creamy tan that’s somewhere between beige and off-white. It’s the kind of color you could paint your whole house and never get tired of it. Bedrooms, main living areas, even exteriors — it’s clean and classic without feeling cold.

White Snow

A crisp, bright white that’s perfect for trim, doors, ceilings — or if you’re feeling bold, you could go full-on white house with it and make everything else stand out.

Sunbleached

Like White Snow’s slightly more relaxed cousin. Still light, but with a little warmth mixed in. It’s awesome for spaces where you want that airy feeling but don’t want to go full white. Also lovely on kitchen cabinets or as an exterior for a farmhouse-style look.

Rain Cloud

A muted teal that feels calm and cool without being overwhelming. Think bathroom walls, bedroom retreats, or even a stunning front door that’s different without being too bold.

Chartreuse

A vibrant yellow-green that’s not for the faint of heart, but in small doses — like a playroom, home gym, or front door — it’s an awesome way to add some life to a space.

Bosc Pear

A gorgeous golden tone that brings warmth and a bit of drama. Ideal for a dining room, breakfast nook, or a bold accent wall.

Mauve Finery

A soft, dusty mauve that’s elegant without feeling too “fancy.” Beautiful in a bedroom, reading nook, or on built-in shelves for a pop of unexpected color.

Why the Switch to a Color Capsule?

Sherwin-Williams knows that everyone’s taste is different. Instead of trying to make one color fit everybody, the 2025 capsule gives homeowners the flexibility to find what works best for their home and style. Honestly, we love it. Homes should feel personal, and this palette makes it easy to mix, match, and create spaces that feel right.

Whether you’re dreaming about a full exterior makeover, refreshing a few rooms inside, or just repainting that old front door, these new colors offer a ton of options — and we’re here to help you bring them to life.
